Print & Audio:

Proofreading and formatting for the print book are complete! The ebook is being formatted now. I’ve requested the cover template from the printer and forward it to the cover designer for the finished cover with spine and back and review snippet from The Wishing Shelf.. Then I’ll send it to the printer: Bethany Press. I should have print copies in stock by the first or second week of March, but the ebook will be available on March 1st.

The audiobook will NOT launch at the same time. We’re allowing extra time for the quality recording sessions as Ceci has limited time in her university’s studio. Hopefully, it will be out this summer. It will be worth the wait.

Marketing:

I have a few people on my ARC team (advanced reader copy). These readers will receive a free ebook of Finding Strength, which will be ready in a couple of weeks. While it’s not required, the ARC team members are requested to post a review for the book during the launch week. (March 1-7)

Want to be on the team? CONTACT ME.

Other marketing efforts include working with StoryOriginApp to build my email list through newsletter swaps and book promos. I’ll share the results of this in a few months time.

What’s Next?

I’ve been giving a lot of thought to this question and have decided to write a new series of Early Reader Chapter books. I’ve even come up with some animals and a title for the series: Treetop Tales. The main characters include:

  • A chickadee named Felix (the voice of reason in every book, like Ollie the farm dog)

  • An opossum named Pip, Pippin, or Piper (Haven’t decided, yet. What do you think?)

  • A Big Brown bat named Benjamin

  • A House sparrow named Sally

  • A girl squirrel named Hazel

  • A boy squirrel named Hickory

  • A Red-headed Downy woodpecker named Paprika

  • And, an occasional scene with other animals like a Western Rat Snake named Sneaks

And these are some of the character themes I’m considering for the adventure stories. If you have another you’d like to see, this is the time to let me know! Contact Me.

  • Generosity/Forgiveness

  • Gratefulness (not entitlement)

  • Determination

  • Respect

  • Dependability

Historical Fiction Giveaway

This is a group promo I entered to help build my email list and promote my Emeline series.

I haven’t read these books (except mine, of course). If you click on the “check it out” link, it will take you to a synopsis page where you can download any of these titles for free. Obviously, this giveaway offers mostly adult books, except for mine, The Ghosts of Valverde, The Silver Goblet, and possibly Caterina’s Choice. If you haven’t read my book, A Journey, here’s your chance. Enjoy!

Finding myself excited to look at seed catalogs. Happens every year about this time.
